The Quiet Power of November
A Moment to Pause, Appreciate, and Prepare

Every year, November sneaks in with this gentle nudge to slow down. In an industry that moves at the speed of incentives, inventory swings, and customer expectations, the shift into Thanksgiving season feels different. Softer. Warmer. Almost like the universe is tapping us on the shoulder and reminding us to breathe.
Thankfulness is not passive. It is an active reflection of how far we have come, what we have survived, what we have built, and who helped us get here. In automotive, where we juggle leadership roles, inventory chaos, customer experiences, marketing deadlines, and the pressure to constantly evolve, gratitude becomes a grounding practice. It brings us back to center. It helps us reclaim the pieces of ourselves that get scattered throughout the year.
This season also brings clarity. As the year winds down, we can finally see what worked, what did not, and where we want to go next. It is the equivalent of turning off the showroom lights, walking the floor, and seeing the fingerprints on the glass you somehow missed all day. That moment tells the truth.
And truth makes planning easier.
The final stretch of the year is an invitation. To close out the commitments that no longer serve us. To finish the ones that matter. To stop carrying tasks, relationships, or responsibilities that drain us instead of lifting us. To clear space for what the new year will bring. The future does not arrive without room.
If you work in or around this industry, you know the rhythm. Q4 can feel like a sprint and a reflection period all at once. The holidays soften us, but the numbers sharpen us. In that tension, something special happens. We get honest. We get intentional. We get ready.
This is the moment to ask yourself what you want the next year to feel like. Not just what it should look like on paper. Success is not measured only in units sold, campaigns launched, teams built, or promotions earned. It is measured in alignment. In energy. In purpose. In how you show up for yourself and others.
As you move through this Thanksgiving season, I encourage you to sit with three simple but transformative questions:
1. What do I want to carry with me into the new year, and what needs to be set down for good?
This question alone can reset your entire mindset. Not everything that came with you this far is meant to go further.
2. Where did I grow this year, even in the places where it felt hard or messy?
Growth rarely looks graceful in real time. But acknowledging it builds confidence for the year ahead.
3. What would the most joyful, grounded version of me choose for 2026, and what decisions do I need to make now to support her?
A future self question always opens the door to clarity.
Thanksgiving gives us a unique pause. A breath. A moment to reconnect to gratitude, to each other, and to what we are building as women in this industry. Leadership, mentorship, creativity, and courage often feel like heavy lifts. When they are fueled by thankfulness and intentionality, they become lighter.
As you gather with friends and family, as you wrap up end of year goals, as you think about what you want next, I hope you feel proud. I hope you feel connected. And I hope you feel excited for the year ahead, because there is so much possibility waiting for you.
This is your season to reflect. To reset. To prepare. And to open your hands to everything that is coming.
