Northwood University and Women In Automotive® Provide New Scholarships for Future Automotive Leaders

Northwood University is proud to announce a new scholarship opportunity in partnership with Women In Automotive® (WIA). As America's Automotive University, Northwood continues to be a leader in automotive education. They prepare students with real-world skills and the business knowledge they need to thrive in automotive retail, aftermarket, and mobility sectors. This scholarship initiative reflects a shared vision with WIA to recruit, retain, mentor, and advance students across all levels of the industry.

This collaborative effort will award up to five scholarships, valued at $20,000 each, to support the next generation of leaders in the automotive sector. The scholarships will be distributed in annual increments of $5,000 over four years and are renewable if recipients remain enrolled full-time and in good academic standing. Recipients must also conform to all rules, regulations, and disciplinary measures of Northwood University.

Scholarship Requirements:

• Applicants must have a minimum high school grade point average of 3.0 cumulative and/or demonstration of financial need.

• Students must be incoming freshmen for the upcoming academic year and enrolled full-time on the Michigan campus.

• Applicants will be required to submit an essay explaining why they are interested in a career in automotive.

• Majoring in Automotive Marketing and Management or Aftermarket Management is not a requirement, but majoring in a related field like accounting, finance, and supply chain management could be helpful in the selection process.

Recipients will be selected by the Northwood University Scholarship Committee in accordance with their policies and practices. Northwood's scholarship policy allows students to receive up to two main scholarships. If offered two or more scholarships, students will be able to select the two with the most financial benefit.
