On-site COVID-19 Policies

Hyatt Grand Cypress in Orlando, FL

The health and safety of all visitors to Women in Automotive conferences remains our top priority. We are closely monitoring government mandates and policy changes, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines and public health advancements. As information pertaining to the virus continues to develop, we will adjust our approach as needed and keep you up to date with new developments to ensure a coordinated effort and a safe environment for all WIA conference attendees.

Women In Automotive is actively working with the Hyatt Grand Cypress Hotel and their Commitment to Care & Cleanliness with their health and safety guidelines in accordance with and in addition to local and state regulations. Here are some of the policies we are looking to implement in December:

Cleaning & Sanitization: The Hyatt staff are conducting regular—in many cases hourly—cleaning and sanitization of frequently touched surfaces and high-traffic guest and colleague areas such as elevators and elevator buttons, escalator handrails, and restrooms, as well as the surfaces and equipment in our gyms and spas. Cleaning and sanitization includes the use of hospital-grade disinfectants as well as exploring and testing the use of electrostatic sprayers. They are also implementing enhanced cleaning protocols for guest rooms, including the removal of high-touch items and minimizing the number of times the hotel teams enter guest rooms.

Hand Hygiene & Social Distancing: Good hand hygiene is one of the most important steps individuals can take to protect themselves. Reminders on hand-washing techniques are located throughout the hotel, with hand sanitizer stations or sanitizing wipes also prominently placed throughout. Social distancing measures are strongly encouraged in hotel public areas such as elevators, fitness centers, airport shuttles and more, while many hotels are placing protective shields at the front desk and grab-and-go markets.

Masks and Face Coverings: In accordance with global Hyatt hotel policies, they are asking everyone to wear masks or face coverings regardless of vaccination status, to help prevent the spread of respiratory viruses. With this is mind, WIA will require all attendees, vendors, exhibitors, and speakers to wear a mask at the Women In Automotive Conference 2021. Anyone who ignores the policy will be asked to leave the conference.
