Conference Overview:

Thank you for your interest in speaking at our upcoming October 31st – November 2nd, 2020 Women in Automotive Conference!

The Women In Automotive Conference is designed to educate those in and around Automotive and start a movement in which we are focused on accelerating the role of women in the Automotive Industry. The conference presents Ted talk style engaging keynotes, longer interactive educational sessions, and plenty of time for networking with educators, women in similar roles, and female leaders within the industry. This year we will be adding more events and opportunities to connect and education the larger Automotive body to continue to grow the movement and ultimately force action and change!

Our conference while designed to start, build, and engage a conversation about the role of women in the Automotive industry incorporates four tracks to educate and inform our attendees in a multitude of hot topics and trends within Automotive. Our goal is to address the attendees’ needs by providing sessions related to their roles, focuses, and missions within their organizations.

Please read the following information completely before beginning your application:

What we’re looking for: We are simply looking for strong speakers to present content designed to engage our audience, provide valuable information within our defined tracks, and maximize the takeaways for each attendee.

Our online application streamlines the process to ensure all necessary information is submitted, that everyone involved fully understands the conference, conference mission, tracks, and the expectations of accepting a speaker role for the Women in Automotive events.

Applications are being accepted for the following session types:
  • 50-Minute Educational Session – Strictly NON-Promotional and NON-Proprietary
  • 50-Minute Educational Panel (3 or more speakers) – Strictly NON- Promotional
  • Keynote Address – Strictly NON-Promotional
  • Keynote Panel (3 or more speakers) – Strictly NON-Promotional
Conference Topics Applications should align with one of these category topics:
  • Dealership Strategies and Tactics
  • Personal Development
  • Leadership
  • Trends for Women: Selling and Marketing

The Dealership Strategies and Tactics track speaks to any hot topics or trends that will help Dealership employees take actionable strategies and tactics back to their departments in sales, management, marketing, hiring or BDC. Previous topics have included customer loyalty, Digital roadmaps to purchase, careers for women in dealerships, public relations, recruiting and retaining women employees, marketing outside the box, and Social Media.

The Leadership track addresses skills and education related to what leaders should hear to take back to their organizations of any type within Automotive. Previous topics range from HR, Company Culture, Policies, Hiring strategies, Psychology of Sales, The science of being a leader, and Career Paths within Automotive.

The Personal Development track discusses opportunities for employees or any individual to invest in their own personal growth and career development. Previous topics include defining career paths, finding yourself within a culture, business and life lessons, how to communicate effectively to men, and Personal Branding.

The Trends for Women: Selling and Marketing track covers selling and marketing to women more directly. This track focuses on tactics and strategies that help individuals and businesses more effectively sell, market, advertise, and communicate to the female consumer. Previous topics include How loyal are women car buyers, responsive dealership through mobile, connecting the online and offline experience to the women car buyer, The role of Social Media and Mobile in her path to purchase, millennial women, Marketing plans to different women personas, engaging Latina buyers.

We cannot accept speaking proposals that do not have videos submitted with the application. Be sure to explain key takeaways and invite dealers to attend your session. The video is not to exceed 1 minute and 30 seconds. We will only be accepting video submissions as third party links to hosted video websites (i.e., YouTube, Vimeo, etc.) or direct links for video download (i.e., Dropbox, WeTransfer, Google Drive, etc.). Videos should be void of any logos or promotional content. Please contact us if you have any issues with submitting a video format through this form.

Before you begin, please note that you will need to have the following items:
  • Session Title
  • Session Description (max 1000 characters)
  • Brief Session Description (max 200 characters)
  • Track that your session would belong in. (See track definitions above)
  • Primary Learning Objectives or Takeaways (What specifically attendees will learn at this session)
  • Contact information for all speakers
  • Speaker(s) experience
  • Speaker bios (max 400 characters)
  • Headshot (minimum 5 x 5 in @ 300 DPI or 1500 x 1500px)
  • Video URL or file (not to exceed 1 min 30 seconds and 25MB)

Note to applicants: Avoid broad overview and get specific. Be sure to provide useful, actionable suggestions and “how-to” information that attendees can implement as soon as they get back to work.

Once accepted as a speaker, we must receive your
PowerPoint presentation upon two weeks of acceptance notice.

Speaker acceptance is conditional until the terms and deadlines as outlined in this application are met. If terms or deadlines are not met or broken, we reserve the right to replace your session to keep with the timeline and efficiency of building and holding a conference.

We may edit some of your session information such as title, description and bio for brevity and marketing and promotional purposes. Upon acceptance, please review your session information on our website carefully and adjust, plan and revise your presentation and supporting materials accordingly.
